About US
India has a gold mine of demographic dividend, with almost 35% of its population under 19 years, the youth. As a result, we have an edge to contribute to the nation’s economic development compared to the rest of the ageing world.
However, some significant concerns with the youth, if not resolved, will lead to economic failure. The outdated education system and infrastructure, lack of career counselling, lack of awareness about government-sponsored schemes and programmes, lack of relevant skill development are a few factors contributing to the inadequate development of youth.
Behuman Foundation believes timely career sensitization and counselling, investment of skills and attitude, awareness on opportunities and options amongst the youth will pave the path to self-realization and economic development.

We believe in this enabling philosophy. We empower the youth to make informed decisions about their careers, which constitute one of the essential aspects of their lives. We have chosen Individualized Career Counselling, skill identification and development to increase employability and entrepreneurial aspirations as the focus areas for youth empowerment and development.

Saba Sayyed
Psychologist, Career Counsellor & Life coach
Saba comes with over 20 years of experience in Training and Education. She holds her MPhil in Clinical Psychology, MA in Counselling Psychology and PG diploma in Career Counselling and Life coaching. A Certified Career Counsellor and Trainer secures her educational and career counselling interests by conducting career guidance seminars, study skills development programs, exam stress management, time management, how to be successful professionals, and the likes for school and college students. She is a skills trainer for various organizations and founder of Talentsphere, Pune, and she is associated as a freelance counsellor with many institutions. Being passionate about social work, she is involved in various projects with a few NGOs.

He holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, BSc Hons in Physics. A certified Master Trainer for Entrepreneurship Development Program from National Institute, and Management & Entrepreneurship Sector Skills Council. He is also a DISC Certified Trainer from Inscape Publishing and Thomas International (Thomas Assessments). His critical skills include training the trainers, training operations management, content management, livelihood generation, team management and project management.

We believe everything will fall in place when passion flows. We want to work with like-minded people in any capacity.
OUR HISTORY
We have been a part of community welfare and philanthropy for more than a decade. We are humbled to acknowledge, benefitting individuals and families in crises. We had been extending support in our capacity, as well as through community donations and fundraising. People reached out to us for a long time through word of mouth and community circles.
Few examples include building wells in remote locations in India, funding the construction of houses damaged due to natural disaster, paying off hospitalization expenses and education expenses of the underprivileged.
Responsible Philanthropy
We adopted a model where our involvement was not limited to extending financial support. It started with ensuring the right people, the genuinely underprivileged, benefit from us. We developed a dedicated team to verify the need or problem of the beneficiaries in coordination with local authorities and NGOs. On confirming the project’s authenticity, we would process the necessary support and funds to the beneficiaries.
Focus Going Forward
While we were supporting many people and projects, we kept on reflecting on how to channelise our efforts and in which direction, to be the change-makers at the cause level. With the help of research, deliberation with local experts, and our counterparts in other geographies, we identified our focus area as Youth Development and Empowerment.
